LG Enact becomes available on Verizon and brings back the QWERTY one more time. The cell phone has gone though many changes since its inception and some of the best designs are still around. The smart phone revolution however changed everything. The introduction of the slate styled smart phone pushed the old flip style designs and eventually the slide style QWERTY designs out of the market place. But every once and a great while we will see a small resurgence of flippers and sliders, take Samsung’s Gravity Q or their most recent Galaxy Golden for example. While devices like these are not at the top of the heap, it’s good to know the options are still available. Today a new keyboard-centric device has been made official. Let us meet the LG Enact shall we?

Just yesterday EVleaks up and did it again by publishing top secret renderings of a new Verizon bound five row QWERTY slider known as the LG Enact. While little detail was know about the device, the powers that be spared no time in controlling the damage that leaks ensue. Shortly after its leak, Verizon has announced the LG Enact. So what can we expect outside of its keyboard? The Enact starts with a 4 inch WVGA touch screen that offers up a 480×800 pixel resolution and is built into a 16 mm thick frame. Running Android version 4.1.2 the device carries with it a 2460 mAh battery which is rather large and long lasting for devices in its class. Delving a bit deeper shows the Enact uses a Snapdragon S4 Plus system chip and runs with a dual core 1.2 GHz processor. Additionally we’ll find an Adreno 305 GPU, 8 GB of built in storage and expandable micro SD memory options up to 64 GB. The Enact houses a 5 mega pixel camera with LED flash and a host of special features including 1080p HD video recording. You can also expect a VGA quality front facing sensor as well. Rounding out the Enact is connectivity like, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Hotspot and micro USB. The LG Enact is available from Verizon today and will run you $19.99 under the muse of new two year contract or only $350 outright.
